With this
technique, a saline solution containing a dilute amount of
epinephrine (adrenaline) and Lidocaine (a local anesthetic) is
preinjected into the area undergoing liposuction. This allows for
greater ease of fat removal during the procedure, as well the
safer removal of larger volumes. Small areas can be done
comfortably without anesthesia. Larger or multiple areas may
require sedation or general anesthesia.
